CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> PARK BOARD MEETING <br /> WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 1994 <br /> The City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was called to order at <br /> 6:35pm by Ken Johnson. There was NO audio or video for this <br /> meeting. <br /> Roll Call was taken, members present: Ken Johnson, Sharon Lane, <br /> Amy Donlin, Joe Schmidt, Pam Taschuk, and Brian Bourassa. Also <br /> present were Marty Asleson, Park, Recreation and Forestry <br /> Coordinator and Sandie Wood, Recording Secretary. George Lindy <br /> arrived at 6 :45pm. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Sharon Lane made a motion to approve the <br /> August 1, 1994 minutes, Joe Schmidt seconded the motion. All <br /> voted aye. Motion carried. George stated he liked the flow of <br /> the minutes and the way they were done. <br /> Prior to the meeting Brian Bourassa gave all the members his <br /> letter of resignation, which would go into effect at the end of <br /> his term. He discussed his reasons for this decision and <br /> indicated he wishes to continue working with the Recreation Focus <br /> Committee and wants to be involved in other park related issues <br /> in the city. Marty commended Brian for the work that he has done <br /> on the Park Board, Recreation Focus Committee, and with the Eagle <br /> Scouts in the community. All members stated they were sorry that <br /> Brian was leaving and they were going to miss his expertise on <br /> the board. <br /> OPEN MIKE: There was no one present to speak under Open Mike. <br /> CONCEPT REVIEW: Wood of Baldwin Lake II - Marty Asleson <br /> explained that it is a 5.59 acre subdivision and is zoned R-1X. <br /> The minimum lot sizes are 12, 825 square feet for a housing <br /> density of 2 .32 lots per acre, a total of 13 single family lots. <br /> This has been an area of frustration in the acquisition of <br /> adequate amounts of park open space. The area that is being <br /> focused on, for future park area, is south and east of the area <br /> south of Oakwood Lane and possibly to the west of the southern <br /> portion of Oakwood Lane, as well as the possibilities that might <br /> exist in the Regional Park. The developer has proposed a cash <br /> dedication of approximately $14, 749.00. <br /> Tim Kytonna was present to represent Kosner Goertz Homes, Inc. <br /> He stated the plans have been submitted to the Rice Creek <br /> Watershed District and that they will be going before the <br /> Planning and Zoning Board at their October 5th meeting. They are <br /> going to have an engineer look at the sewer plans because there <br /> might be an area that the sewer may be too shallow. <br /> rti Amy Donlin asked who was interested in selling their land.
