PARK BOARD <br /> August 1,1994 <br /> CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> PARK BOARD MEETING <br /> MONDAY, AUGUST 1, 1994 <br /> The City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was called to order at <br /> 6:30 P.M. by Chairperson George Lindy. There was NO audio or video <br /> for this meeting. <br /> Roll Call was taken, members present: Sharon Lane, Joe Schmidt, <br /> Pam Taschuk, George Lindy, Amy Donlin. Members absent: Brian <br /> Bourassa, Ken Johnson. Also present were Marty Asleson, Park, <br /> Recreation and Forestry Coordinator and Mary Kay Wyland, Recording <br /> Secretary for Sandra Wood and Jeff Schoenbauer, Park Consultant. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Amy Donlin asked for a correction to page 4, <br /> 1st sentence deleting "Amy Donlin said she was also interested. " <br /> George Lindy stated that the Boards discussions seemed disjointed <br /> with no conclusions. The flow was not as nice as usual. Possibly <br /> this was a result of the audio problems. Joe Schmidt then made a <br /> motion approving the minutes as corrected and was supported by <br /> Sharon Lane. All voted aye. Motion carried. <br /> OPEN MIKE: No one was present to speak under Open Mike. <br /> CONCEPT REVIEW: Pine Ridge III - Marty Asleson explained that this <br /> is a 10 acre subdivision with an overall density of 1.9 units per <br /> acre. 19 Single Family lots are proposed. There will be a trail <br /> on the north side of the plat connecting to both Ware Road and the <br /> existing trail in Pine Ridge II which also runs along the south <br /> border of Park Grove. A Cash dedication of approximately $9, 350 <br /> has also been proposed. <br /> Amy Donlin questioned the wetland mitigation for the proposed <br /> development. Ted Matke, Engineer on the project, indicated that <br /> the only mitigation proposed is for the roadway. He added that <br /> they will be enlarging the wetland area north of the roadway and <br /> west of the cul-de-sac. Joe Schmidt stated that the project seemed <br /> to fit into the area well and that the plat looked good. George <br /> Lindy asked who would be putting in the trail and was advised by <br /> Marty that the City would do the final blacktopping, probably in <br /> 1995. <br /> Sharon Lane made a motion to accept the park and trail dedication <br /> as outlined above and was supported by Pam Taschuk. All voted aye. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> UPDATES: <br /> ,^ A. Recreation Complex/Referendum: Marty outlined the process for <br /> the Board and indicated that he had walked the site with Kate <br /> Drewry, RCWD to review the wetland issues. Jeff Schoenbauer <br /> reviewed the rough concept for the park and possible locations for <br /> 1 <br />
