9. Recreation Department Update <br /> (Rick asked members to look over the report in their packets and <br /> call if there were any questions.) <br /> 10. Parks Department Update <br /> (Rick said staff had removed bleachers from the parks. He will be <br /> meeting with the City Council to see if funds are available to <br /> replace them. If not, they will have to be phased in over a 2-3 year <br /> period. He also told members that Marshan Park will be raised on <br /> May 22 and Arena Acres on June 19.) <br /> 11. Old Business <br /> A. No Skateboard Park at Middle School <br /> (The school district decided not to allow a skateboard park at the <br /> middle school. They don't allow skateboard at the schools during the <br /> school year so they thought they were sending a mixed message. The <br /> board asked Rick to continue looking for alternatives because they think <br /> this is really needed for the kids.) <br /> B. Review Park Dedication Fund Balance <br /> (Rick told the board the City found $14,000 in dedicated funds that had been <br /> miscoded and the figures on his summary reflected these funds.) <br /> -'� (Paul asked staff to review park dedication with surrounding communities <br /> and bring it back to the board in the next two to three months. Rick said <br /> Jeff Smyser, City Planner,was willing to assist to see if Lino was in line with <br /> other cities.) <br /> 12. New Business <br /> (There was no new business.) <br /> 13.
