PARK BOARD MEETING
AUGUST 31, 1989
Chairman Ray Johnson called the regular meeting of the Lino
Lakes Park Board to order at 7: 03 p. m. , Thursday, August 31,
1989 at the Lino Lakes City Hall. Members present were:
Chairman Ray Johnson, Boardmembers Bill Nissen, John Bauman,
George Lindy, and Candy Toffoli . Members Absent were: Ken
Johnson and Bob Williams . Also present were: Councilmember
Andy Neal ; Public Works Director, Don Volk; and Planning
Secretary, Laura Elken.
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
Ray Johnson approved the July 31st park board minutes as
presented. John Bauman seconded the motion and the motion
was approved unanimously.
CONSIDERATION OF PARK DEDICATION FOR RESHANAU PARK ESTATES.
Gary Uhde' s Attorney along with city staff through research
discovered that park dedication has been met for Reshanau
Park Estates . Although, in their research they found that
in the mid 1980 ' s Gary Uhde purchased 38 lots from Northern
States Power Company. Park dedication never was collected
for those 38 lots.
After further discussion a motion was made.
MOTION: George Lindy moved that the park board accept the
decision that dedication has been met for Reshanau Park
Estates . The park board feels that dedication for the former
N. S. P. property has not been met . The park board asks that
city council research this and acquire property or collect
cash to be given for park dedication and that the city
attorney review this prior to any decision. John Bauman
seconded the motion and the motion was approved unanimously.
PARK DEDICATION FOR A MINOR SUBDIVISION/JANET AND MIKE
GIANOTTI.
The Gianottis purchased a one acre single-family lot in
Ulmer' s Rice Lake 3rd Addition. They were one of four buyers
in that subdivision. The Gianottis wish to subdivide their
property into four lots meeting all requirements for sewer
available lot sizes. The Gianottis received planning and
zoning approval at its August 9th meeting.
Andy Neal stated that more of this type of subdividing will
occur in the future.
MOTION: Bill Nissen recommended that the park board ask for
a cash park dedication for three lots at $400 . 00 per lot .
George Lindy seconded the motion and the motion was approved
unanimously.
Page 1
