PARK BOARD MEETING July 3, 1989 for deed. He is closing on three lots soon and then the city will have clear title to the land. Harold Bisel stated that he wants the Developer' s Agreement to state that once 50% of the homes are built , then the park should be completed. Rich Gray is working on the specifications of the park. Laura Elken will contact him so that he is prepared to address this issue at the August Park Board meeting. A copy of the spec' s will be sent to the park board members as soon as possible so the park board has time to review this before the August meeting. Erickson' s Land Update Grading has begun at Erickson' s park. It was decided by City Council that if the developer did not complete their work by the end of August building permits will be held. A skating rink will be installed this year if feasible. New Business Park Development Committee/Anoka County Parks The Park Board members received a letter from Laura Elken stating that the meeting date is set for July 20th. The City of Lino Lakes is the host for the first meeting. The meeting will be held at Mar-Dee' s Restaurant. Ray Johnson feels that Lino Lakes should have more than one representative on this committee. Some of the issues the board felt should be discussed is utilizing the county trail system with the City of Lino Lake' s trail system, and discussing with the county the possibility of having some playing fields in the county parks. Park Board will be given a copy of the minutes to this first meeting. South Side Community Park/Land Purchase MOTION: Ray Johnson moved to recommend to City Council to look into the purchasing of the South Side Community Park property. The Park Board is willing to use their dedicated �,\ park land monies towards the purchase of the property.
