PARK BOARD MEETING <br /> April 3, 1989 <br /> development . The board felt that the 33 ' of roadway may <br /> interfere with the proposed parking lot . Don Volk stated <br /> that if necessary, alterations will be made to accommodate a <br /> sufficient parking area. <br /> The Developer, Keith Ebensteiner was present at the meeting, <br /> and asked if the fence would be the homeowners expense or <br /> his . <br /> Park Board would like this issue brought up at the next <br /> Planning and Zoning Board Meeting and request that it be a <br /> requirement to the developer to provide screening for the <br /> property abutting Sunrise Park. Don Volk will speak to the <br /> City Planner regarding this issue. <br /> The Park Board decided to accept a cash park dedication . <br /> Mr. Ebensteiner pointed out that Lot 9, Block 2 is <br /> unbuildable, and was concerned that he would be charged for <br /> that lot also. The Park Board explained that park dedication <br /> fees would not be taken for that lot . <br /> MASTER TRAIL PLAN/DON VOLK <br /> Park Board members received a map outlining the proposed <br /> "Master Trail Plan" , Don Volk stated that the boundaries were <br /> not etched in stone. <br /> Don Volk sent a copy of the "Master Trail Plan" to Dave <br /> Torkildson, Director of Anoka County Parks for his input . <br /> Adjustments may be made after Anoka Countys response. <br /> Ken Johnson stated that this trail will attract campers to <br /> our area, and will be a great asset. <br /> The "Master Trail Plan" is designed to follow drainage <br /> easements and utility easements , and is planned as <br /> economically as possible. <br /> Developers will be made aware of the city' s trail plan, and <br /> will be required to develop trails to coincide with ours . <br /> The "Master Trail Plan" map does not point out the "Class B" <br /> trails that are planned. Don Volk stated that it is <br /> difficult to place them on the map before the subdivision is <br /> constructed. <br /> Park Board recommended to City Council approval of a Concept <br /> Plan for the proposed "Master Trail" . <br /> GREATER CENTENNIAL AREA RECREATION PROGRAM/KEN JOHNSON <br /> Ken Johnson explained that the recreation committee is on <br /> hold until the school district ' s attorney reviews the Joint <br /> Powers Agreement . <br /> Page 2 <br />
