PARK BOARD MEETING SEPTEMBER 7, 1988 <br /> d� <br /> Mr. Johnson stated the Greater Centennial Area Park and <br /> Recreation Committee met a couple of weeks ago, and some <br /> figures were presented to us. <br /> The Centennial school district area has a total first year <br /> budget for a recreation program, hiring 1 person to run the <br /> program - They estimated $30, 000. 00 which would be shared by <br /> the communities involved. The Lino Lakes portion is <br /> estimated at approximately $6, 800. 00 for 1989. The <br /> preparation of a joint powers agreement between the cities <br /> and Centennial School District , will be the focal point of <br /> future meetings . <br /> B. Sunrise Park Improvements - Update - Don Volk <br /> 1 . A total top dressing and reeceeding is still pending. <br /> This would take place in conjunction with the construction <br /> of the 2nd Ave. municipal state aid roadway. <br /> 2. The relocating of ballfield *1 will take place <br /> immediately after Sandbur Days , which will be the weekend of <br /> September loth. Funding for this relocation is from the <br /> Circle Lex Lions (Sponsors of Sandbur Days) . <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Mr. Volk stated there was a Special Council Work Session in <br /> August , and during the discussion at this meeting Mayor <br /> Benson asked that all departments make comments as to how <br /> each department is going to react to the results of the <br /> opinion survey. The Park Board will consider this request <br /> and this issue will be brought up at the October meeting. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 10: 35. <br /> Page 5 <br /> r» <br />
