PARKBOARD MEETING JULY 6, 1988 <br /> The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Park Board was called <br /> to order at 7 : 00 p.m. , by Chairman Ray Johnson, Wednesday <br /> July 6th, 1988 at the Lino Lakes City Hall . Members <br /> present : Chairman Ray Johnson, Ken Johnson, George Lindy, <br /> Candy Toffoli and John Bauman. Also present were: City <br /> Planner - John Miller, City Administrator - Randy <br /> Schumacher, and Secretary - Connie Husby. <br /> Members not present : Bob Williams and Bill Nissen. <br /> CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES : <br /> MOTION: Ken Johnson moved to accept the minutes of June 6, <br /> 1988 as written. John Bauman seconded the motion and the <br /> motion was carried unanimously. <br /> HERITAGE HOMES , CONCEPT REVIEW ONLY - MR. HELLER <br /> The Park Board reviewed the map sent out and told Mr. Heller <br /> they wanted only buildable park land and no low ground or <br /> water holding ponds . The Park Board suggested Heritage <br /> Homes re-design their plan for parks . Heritage Homes wants <br /> the park land to be left wild and natural . The Park Board <br /> is thinking of maintenance costs for the area. <br /> RESIDENTS ' QUESTIONNAIRE RESULTS: <br /> John Miller was present for discussion on the questionnaire. <br /> John stated that Lee Mehrkins would like to present the <br /> results of the survey with the Park Board, Council , Planning <br /> and Zoning and Economic Development committee at one time. <br /> The date for this meeting will be either August 2nd or <br /> August 3rd. The 3rd of August would be best for Park Board. <br /> John Miller said the cash for this survey was well spent . <br /> Some results were: The #1 need is trails (bikes - walking) <br /> came in first . <br /> John Miller said people that live here are past the tot lot <br /> stage - people moving here aren' t first home buyers . They <br /> are middle aged people. <br /> Softball fields came somewhere in the middle and again <br /> demographics take place here. <br /> Where there are expensive homes tot lots are not needed! <br /> PAGE 1 <br />
