MOTION: Bob Williams moved that the Bradley/Leonard <br /> easement walkway proposal that was originally initiated by <br /> Candy St . Clair be denied, in that the money will be better <br /> spent elsewhere. Also that the 74th Street area should not <br /> be used for a walkway either. Candy Toffoli seconded the <br /> motion and the motion was carried unanimously. <br /> CENTENNIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT UPDATE FUTURE DEVELOPMENT PLANS - <br /> DON VOLK: <br /> Don Volk talked with Warren Tester regarding the development <br /> plan. Mr. Tester said they hadn' t discussed it yet . Ken <br /> Johnson asked that we forward the school lease to the City <br /> Attorney - Bill Hawkins , and ask him whether the school had <br /> the right to lease the land in question. <br /> LAMOTTE PARK: UPDATE ON REQUEST TO OBTAIN PROPERTY TITLE - <br /> DON VOLK: <br /> Don Volk reported that this item is going to the City <br /> Council - He has to talk to our City Administrator - Randy <br /> Schumacher. <br /> UPDATE : SOUTH CENTRAL COMMUNITY PARK - DON VOLK: <br /> Don Volk reported the results from the two phone calls made. <br /> We got negative response from Ernie Apitz and Hugo Jorgenson <br /> to sell their land to Park Board. Don Volk suggested <br /> contacting Ernie Apitz again and offering to buy his land <br /> and making the land into a future park and allow Ernie with <br /> a life time Estate. The Park Board thought this was an <br /> excellent idea. <br /> UPDATE : RESIDENTS QUESTIONNAIRE - JOHN MILLER MEMO: <br /> The stated cut-off date for returning the city' s park survey <br /> was May 20 . John doesn' t at this time have access to the <br /> final count of survey returned but his guess is that at <br /> least 30 percent of all households returned them. This will <br /> give us a count of about 700 . <br /> Most of them have been tabulated - There are about 125 left <br /> to do - and this part of the work should be completed by <br /> next week. What this means is that you should either allow <br /> a good amount of time at your July meeting for Lee Mehrkins <br /> to review the results with you or you should set a special <br /> meeting date early in July to go over the results . <br /> NEW BUSINESS : CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS "1988" : <br /> Don Volk made this report : There is $8, 000 . 00 in General <br /> Fund Budget . Don wrote a memo suggesting ideas how to spend <br /> the money. He suggested that we wait until the Park Survey <br /> results are in before making any decisions . <br />
