Ary Gearman wishes to permit conventional stick-built home <br /> construction in the R-7 manufactured home subdivision <br /> district . There has been slow sales of lots for the high <br /> value manufactured homes resulting in late assessment <br /> payments . Gearman believes that he will be able to sell <br /> lots quickly if he can sell to conventional builders and as <br /> a result he will be able to make his payments to the city. <br /> The city would like to see park land dedicated to the city. <br /> MOTION: John Bauman moved to recommend that John <br /> Miller/City Planner and Don Volk/Director of Public Works <br /> make the final decision regarding park land dedication and <br /> send dedication to Council . Bob Williams seconded the <br /> motion and the motion was carried unanimously. <br /> OPEN MIKE: Jack Menkfeld-Sunrise Meadows <br /> Jack came before the Park Board as requested by the Planning <br /> and Zoning Board. The Planning and Zoning Board is looking <br /> for a walkway between Caribow Circle and Sunrise Park, and <br /> are looking for input from the Park Board regarding this <br /> issue. <br /> MOTION: John Bauman moved to reject the pathway request by <br /> the Planning and Zoning Board for Mr. Menkfeld - Sunrise <br /> Meadows . John recommended the Park Board go back to the <br /> original agreement between Mr. Menkfeld and themselves. <br /> That agreement was made at the April. Park Board meeting and <br /> reads as follows : <br /> Jack purchased land from Mr. Ulmer and suggested a cash <br /> offer as park dedication for the proposed subdivision lots , <br /> north of Sunrise. Mr. Schumacher recommended that Jack <br /> Menkfelds proposed subdivision be credited park dedication <br /> fees paid by the previous developer. In the motion made at <br /> that time, the City Administrator - Randy Schumacher made <br /> sure it was clear that the amount already paid is subtracted <br /> from the amount due now. <br /> Bob Williams seconded the motion and the motion was carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: BRADLEY WALKWAY UPDATE : DON VOLK AND <br /> CHAIRMAN JOHNSON: <br /> Don Volk reported that Ray Johnson and himself walked <br /> through the 74th Street area easement and that the area is <br /> unacceptable for a walkway. There are large Oak Trees with <br /> at least 200 feet of forest . Don said the only place for a <br /> walkway would be the Bradley/Leonard Street area. The two <br /> petitions submitted by the residents were so close in that <br /> there were a few more residents who wanted the walkway than <br /> those opposed. <br />
