PARKBOARD MINUTES <br /> JANUA.RY 4, 1.988 <br /> The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Park Board was called <br /> to order at 7 : 00 p. m. by Chairman Ray Johnson Monday, <br /> January 4, 1988 at the Lino Lakes City Hall . Members <br /> present : Chairman Ray Johnson, Ken Johnson, Bob Williams <br /> George Lindy, John Bauman and Bill Nissen. Also present; <br /> were Public Works Director - Don Volk, Secretary - Connie <br /> Husby, and Liaison -- Harold Bisel . <br /> Members not present were: Candy Toffoli . <br /> CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES -- DECEMBER 7 , 1987 <br /> Correction in December 7 , 1987 minutes were made under the <br /> Kent. Roessler subdivision/Park Dedication second paragraph: <br /> Instead of as houses are completed, 25% of the park should <br /> be completed. This should read: As 25% of the houses are <br /> completed, the park should then be completed . <br /> MOTION: Chairman Ray Johnson approved minutes as corrected . <br /> There wa.s no second.. <br /> REVIEW OLD PARK NEEDS SURVEY: George Lindy mentioned the <br /> survey wasn ' t accurate for today. In 1982 the priority was <br /> dog trails compared to softball fields being the #1 priority <br /> now. There was discussion regarding bicycling trails . Don <br /> Volk said he would discuss getting marks drawn on our roads <br /> directing a bike route with MNDOT Engineers . <br /> Chairman Johnson suggested revising the parks survey. <br /> George Lindy thought. this could be a costly process and <br /> wanted to clerify whether it would benefit the Park Board. <br /> Also, a question was brought up regarding a bond issue. As <br /> to whether the residents in Lino Lakes would be willing to <br /> discuss a bond issue and inform them of what they would be <br /> get.ting for their dollar. Bill Nissen suggests the Park <br /> Board work on a presentation for a questionaire for the next <br /> Park Board meeting to construct a new survey. A suggestion <br /> was made to inquire outside of City Hall to see whether <br /> there is someone experienced in the field of taking surveys <br /> and how much it would cost to hire someone. We could <br /> possibly discuss this with our City Planner -- John Miller. <br /> REVIEW EXISTING PARKS <br /> DEVELOPMENT PLANS : <br /> There was discussion , e_garding the City Hall Municipal Park, <br /> Sunrise, Country Lakes , and Shenandoah Parks . Each of the <br /> Board members rece:iz7ed a map refering to each park <br /> discussed . Don took out each of the park Mans and <br />
