MEMORANDUM
TO: All Park Board Members
FROM: Marty Asleson
DATE: January 3, 1992
SUBJECT: Shores of Marshan Lake Development
This is to reiterate our phone discussion concerning the Shores of
Marshan Lake park dedication. This dedication includes a functional
28' x 64' stick-built building on a slab with well, gas, septic and
electric hook-ups. This building was sold to another person before
the City became aware of any possibilities. In our discussion with
the owner, he is willing to sell the building at a reasonable price
of $10,00 - $12, 000. The only stipulation is that he wanted
assurance that should the City not decide to buy the building, he
would have until April 1st or around that time to move it. (He was
prepared to move it immediately to his proposed site. ) The
additional time would allow him to replace his needed building for
storage on his site.
Staff still believes that this is a structurally sound building
that would have great potential for use and that the $10 - $12,000.
price is indeed reasonable should this project get final approval.
