AGENDA ITEM',- <br /> STAFF ORIGINATOR Marty Asleson <br /> DATE July 29, 1993 <br /> TOPIC Council Approval of Expenditures <br /> Please refer to the following council agenda item concerning the <br /> consideration of recommended expenditures from the dedicated park <br /> fund: <br /> AGENDA ITEM <br /> STAFF ORIGINATOR Marty Asleson <br /> DATE July 19, 1993 <br /> TOPIC Park Board Recommended Park Dedication <br /> Expenditures <br /> The Park Board at the July 12th meeting made the following <br /> recommendations to expend dedicated park dollars: <br /> 1. Tom Jensen has been working on an Eagle Scout project to <br /> install a half-court basketball court in Arena Acres Park. The <br /> estimated project cost is $3850.00. Tom indicated that he has <br /> raised $2169. 00, and has exhausted his funding options. He has <br /> worked over a year on this project so far. The Park Board <br /> recommended to fund the balance of $1681. 00. <br /> 2 . $5000. 00 for the purpose of acquiring legal council for the <br /> development of finance alternatives and the securing of land in the <br /> south of Birch Street area for athletic complex A-3 . <br /> 3 . Lamotte Park. Because of concern in the Lamotte Road <br /> neighborhood, concerning the use of the mini-park known as M-6 in <br /> our comprehensive plan, the Park Board recommends the expenditure <br /> of $300. 00 to purchase a volleyball net and standard.
