has become an issue and the thought was to provide an alternative
play option for the children who wish to use the park. The Friends
of the Parks has found a donor for a bench dedication to also be
installed in this park.
4. The Friends of the Parks accepted a donation for a memorial
play train by a couple who wished to see the apparatus go into
Sunrise Park. The residents were able to donate $3000. 00 out of
the $3850. 00 cost for this equipment and asked the Park Board to
finance the rest. The Park Board recommended the expenditure of
the additional $850. 00 for this project. The donating couple would
be responsible for a plaque.
TOTAL----$7831.00
1. Fund Park Board Requests as per Council Wishes.
2 . Deny Requests
.
RE OMME.N.AAT.I::::I . :
Approve Requests
These requests were approved for funding by the City Council.
Previous approvals included $34, 000 for the trail underpass at Rice
Lake Elementary School, $18,000 ea for development of Leonard and
Bradley and Woods of Baldwin Lake Mini Parks, $15, 000 for 1993
trail overlays, $4, 000 for the Country Lakes master plan.
As of June 30th, 1993 the Park Dedication Fund ballance was
$237,900.95. In this we recently received the dedication dollars
for Birchwood 3rd, Woods of Baldwin Lake, and Park Grove. The
$34, 000 for the underpass has not been taken out yet. The total
comes to $96,831.
I suggest we set up another goal setting session in the future to
re-look at priorities again for 1994. I do have a concern for
future land needs where we might want to leave reserve funds.
RLCO2 IT1A'QN
This is open for discussion.
