Mr. Rich Granger, the
developer presented his park dedication proposal. His development
. of approximately 40 acres is located along the southern most point
of Reshanau Lake to the north and bounded on the south by Birch
Street. There are plans for 67 lots. There are no land dedication
needs on this parcel, however, there is a trail dedication to be
satisfied. Mr. Granger has proposed his trail dedication to
integrate to the east with the proposed Living Waters Lutheran
Church trail dedication. This trail to the east would link into the
"old trapper trail" that was previously accepted as part of the
dedication to the Living Waters Church parcel. Mr. Granger will
also provide a link on the west side to gain access to Country
Lakes Park. He has also agreed to provide the transportation trail
along Birch Street as called for in the Comprehensive Plan. This
ties into the transportation trail that Living Waters will
construct. The balance of the dedication requirement will be paid
by cash as required by the City.
A representative from Living Waters Lutheran Church, Mr. Steve
Heiskary was also present. He noted that the churches prime concern
was that the trail not be placed in the "buildable" land. A short
discussion followed where George Lindy wanted to be assured, and
assure the church also, that they would be treated as fairly as
residential builders.
MOTION: Following the discussion, Ken Johnson made a motion to
accept the trail dedication as proposed by Mr. Granger, and the
balance in a cash dedication per lot as required by the City. This
.. motion was seconded by Brian Bourassa and carried unanimously. The
1
