December 11 1986 Page 1 PARK BOARD <br /> Chairman Ray Johnson called to order the regular meeting of <br /> the Lino Lakes Park Board at 7 : 05 P. M. , Monday, December 1 , <br /> 1986. Members present : James , Ken Johnson, Baumann , <br /> Nissen. Members absent : Flannery. Mr. Lindy joined the <br /> meeting at 7 : 20 P.M. Also present were Don Volk, Public <br /> Works Director and Shar Foster, Secretary. <br /> CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES - NOVEMBER 3 , 1.986 <br /> The following corrections were requested: <br /> - Page 3 - "Fitness Courts" should be changed to "Fitness <br /> Course" . <br /> - Page 1 - The first sentence should be corrected to read <br /> " . . . construction of a tot lot ; therefore, considering <br /> the assessed value at that time would have been $1 , 1.00 <br /> per acre, park dedication would be: $1 , 100 X 4 acres X <br /> 10% = $440 . <br /> MOTION: Mr. Nissen moved to approve the 11/3/86 minutes as <br /> corrected above. Motion seconded by Ken Johnson and carried <br /> unanimouslv. <br /> BMX TRACK INSURANCE <br /> Mr. Volk reported that. the City Administrator wrote to the <br /> City' s insurance representative asking how new legislation <br /> regarding park liability affects the City' s insurance <br /> coverage. No response to this letter has yet been received. <br /> Mr . Volk is also still trying to make contact with the <br /> gentleman proposing to reorganize the BMX association . This <br /> item will appear on the next Park Board agenda. <br /> PARK DEDICATION ORDINANCE <br /> The park dedication ordinance proposed by the Park Board and <br /> prepared by the City Attorney was reviewed by the Board. <br /> One statement - "Land site selection to be made by the City" <br /> - was erroneously excluded in the proposed ordinance. The <br /> Board felt that this statement should be included. (A copy <br /> of the ordinance with insertion of this statement is <br /> attached. ) <br /> MOTION: Mrs . James moved to recommend to Council approval <br /> of the park dedication ordinance (attached) which includes <br /> the addition of "Land site selection to be made by the <br /> City. " Mr .
