* * * PROPOSAL <br /> PARK DEDICATION <br /> For the purpose of acquiring and developing park and <br /> recreational facilities , the following procedures will <br /> be used by the City of Lino Lakes : <br /> With recommendations from the Park Board, the City <br /> Council will determine the park needs and whether the <br /> option of cash or land is to be collected from the <br /> developer as satisfaction of park dedication <br /> requirements . <br /> The criterion to be used by the City in determining the <br /> park needs is as follows : <br /> 1 . Proposed development density. <br /> 2 . Proximity of development to existing parks . <br /> 3 . Open space within the development . <br /> 4 . Future park needs per the comprehensive plan. <br /> OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO THE CITY: <br /> Residential Development : <br /> Option A*: $160 per dwelling unit in proposed <br /> development . <br /> Option B**: 10% of the land in the development . <br /> Industrial/Commercial Development : <br /> Option A*: 10% of the assessed value of the land <br /> in the development . <br /> Option B**: 10% of the land in the development . <br /> *Cash payments shall be placed in a special fund by the <br /> City to be used for acquisition, betterment or debt <br /> retirement related to parks, playgrounds , trails or <br /> open space. This fee is due to the City <br /> Clerk-Treasurer before any documents may be filed with <br /> the County Recorder' s Office. <br /> **Land site selection to be made by the City. <br />
