PARK BOARD <br /> May 5 , 1986 <br /> .-� Page Three <br /> stated that the task force to review the comprehensive plan will be <br /> dealing with the issue of this plat and that the plat has not yet <br /> been approved. <br /> Mr. Nissen asked Mr. Volk to check with some surrounding communities <br /> to see what the trends are for parks. <br /> It was the general opinion of the Board that should this plat be <br /> approved, the Park Board would request that land within the plat <br /> be set aside for parks . <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> School Property - Mr. Ray Johnson informed the members during the <br /> tour earlier this evening that the farmer who currently is farming <br /> the school property would like to continue farming the area which <br /> is not being used for a park and that the farmer has volunteered <br /> in exchange to grade the location chosen for the park. <br /> Mr. Flannery moved to authorize Mr. Schumacher to keep in touch with <br /> the school as to the lease of the property, look into a survey for <br /> the property so that the best location can be determined for the <br /> ballfields , drive , parking, etc. , and also to negotiate with the <br /> farmer for use of the land and grading. Mr. Ken Johnson seconded <br /> the motion which carried unanimously. <br /> Birdhouses - Mr. Volk reported that a local Boy Scout working toward <br /> earning his Eagle Scout badge has volunteered to build birdhouses for <br /> Lino Lakes parks . <br /> The meeting adjourned by unanimous vote at 8 : 10 P.M. <br />
