PARK BOARD <br /> —� May 5 , 1986 <br /> Page Two <br /> communication for emergencies . <br /> Dock - Mr. Volk reported that he has contacted three companies for <br /> quotes for the dock. Two quotes have been submitted and he is wait- <br /> ing for the third. The most likely company quotes that the dock <br /> can be completed in one to two weeks . Mr. Volk will bring a definite <br /> recommendation to the Board at the next meeting. <br /> APPOINTMENT OF BILL NISSEN TO RICE LAKE CHAIN OF LAKES REGION PARK <br /> ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br /> The Board received a copy of a letter from the Lino Lakes City Clerk <br /> stating that Mr. Nissen has been appointed by the Lino Lakes City <br /> Council to fill the vacancy on the above named board. The second <br /> member to this board representing Lino Lakes is John McLean. <br /> CHOMONIX GOLF COURSE CLUB HOUSE <br /> Mr. Volk presented a copy of the plans for the future club house at <br /> Chomonix Golf Course for the Board' s review and information . No <br /> action was taken. <br /> REQUEST FOR BIKE PATHS ALONG MAIN STREET <br /> The Park Board received copies of letters from local Girl Scouts . <br /> requesting a bike path along Main Street . Mr. Volk reported that <br /> at the last Council meeting the Council was brought up to date with <br /> regard to the improvement of Main Street planned by the County for <br /> 1987 . Mayor Benson directed at that Council meeting that letters <br /> be sent to the Girl Scouts explaining the situation. No action was <br /> taken by the Park Board. <br /> DISCUSSION OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS <br /> Mr. Volk stated that the Board could expect to see at their next <br /> meeting quotes and design plans for tot lots in Lino Park and <br /> Arena Acres park. He also stated that as soon as the ground dries <br /> out adequately, the Parks Department will haul in aggregate for Shen- <br /> andoah ballfields . The materials for picnic tables are at City Hall <br /> and the tables will be built as soon as manpower can be scheduled. <br /> Application has been made with a youth manpower program and soon Mr. <br /> Volk will know whether or not the application can be filled. <br /> POLICE VANDALISM REPORTS IN PARKS <br /> Mr. Volk reported that the report of most concern is for about *100 <br /> damage at Sunrise Park. The gates had not been closed and the Police <br /> Department is continually being asked to open and close the gates . <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> D . Erickson Plat - Mr. Volk showed the proposed plat of 99 homes <br /> south of Birch Street for the Board' s information. Mr. RaV Johnson <br />
