PARK BOARD
October 21, 1985
_#lop Page Four
NEW BUSINESS (continued)
The Board noted the police report of vandalism in one of the City
parks on 9/27/85 . Ray Johnson suggested that gates be installed
in the City parks so that the park could be locked at sunset by
the Police Department .
ACTION REQUESTED : Mr. Volk agreed to approach the Chief of Police
to see if gates on the City parks (to be locked each evening and
unlocked each morning by the Police) is feasible.
The secretary mentioned that the next regularly scheduled meeting
of the Park Board would be November 4 , 1985 , only two weeks away.
The Board felt that even though the meetings would be close to-
gether, they should continue with the regularly scheduled meeting
dates . The November 4 date may not allow time for action on the
items discussed this evening to be taken. Mainly, the November 4
meeting will be concerned with finalizing a capital improvement
plan.
The meeting adjourned at 9 : 20 P.M. by motion by Ray Johnson , sec-
onded by Mr. Nissen.
