PARK BOARD <br /> September 9 , 1985 <br /> Page Four <br /> for Park Board for 1986 . CIP will appear on next month' s agenda. <br /> TOUR OF CITY <br /> The Board arranged a time of 5 : 30 P.M. , Monday, September 23 , <br /> 1985 to tour the City to consider some locations for park <br /> property in the southeast corner of the City and also to tour <br /> the existing parks to examine the needs of each. This tour <br /> date will allow time to take findings into consideration for <br /> use in preparing the budget/capital improvement plan. <br /> The Chairman polled the Board and this time seemed to be <br /> acceptable to all members . Chairman Johnson also asked that <br /> Mr. Volk be present for the tour and that the Planning and <br /> Zoning Board be made aware that the Park Board will be taking <br /> this tour and that they are invited to join :the tour and/or <br /> offer suggestions with regard to possible sites for park <br /> property in the southeast corner of the City. The Planning <br /> and Zoning Board will also be made aware of the vacancy on <br /> the Park Board for their input on a possible candidate, ideally, <br /> but not necessarily from the southeast corner of the City. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> BMX Track - Mr. Ray Johnson informed the Board that the BMX <br /> track has very recently formed a new management board and <br /> that Mr. Kleinhans has been removed of any responsibilities <br /> due to some questionable appropriation of funds . The new <br /> President is Charles Johnson and the Treasurer is his wife . <br /> Ray Johnson is presently serving on the board until the <br /> Board is full. <br /> Any financial questions have now been cleared up and the BMX <br /> is again on track and the parents of the children registered <br /> for races are becoming more involved. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> The Board reviewed vandalism reports relating to park property. <br /> No particular actions were taken in response to these reports . <br /> Mr. Ray Johnson moved to adjourn the meeting at 8 : 00 P.M. Mr. <br /> Lindy seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br />
