Motion was approved. <br /> MOTION• <br /> Paul Montain made a motion that moneys raised for a park would be <br /> escrowed in a fund, under the park name, and used for the highest <br /> priority per results of a neighborhood survey or a petition. Joe <br /> Schmidt seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. <br /> SURVEY IIPDATE• <br /> Marty met with Dan Tesch regarding the survey. He reported that <br /> some questions will be deleted because of duplicity. Dan will be <br /> working with Decision Resources on adding or deleting questions . <br /> Members stated concerns about specific questions in the survey. <br /> As an example someone asked the purpose of questions number 42 . <br /> This questions should be put at the end of the survey for <br /> information only or put it in the brochure. It was suggested <br /> that further development of trails be added to question number <br /> 53 . After question number 37 nature or bird watching should be <br /> added. It was also suggested that questions 31 and 32 be <br /> combined. It was asked why questions 15 - 24 couldn' t be phrased <br /> as one question. Why pay $125 per question for this section when <br /> this could be done. <br /> George said Decision Resources is the professional and the board <br /> and city must rely on them to do the job to get the results that <br /> are needed. <br /> RECREATION UPDATE: <br /> Barry said the Open and Traveling Playground programs started <br /> June 17, 1996 and everything is going well . In some parks during <br /> the 3 1/2 hour time span there has been over 40 kids in <br /> attendance. There are over 100 kids participating in the tennis <br /> programs . Performance in the Park is averaging between 150 and <br /> 200 people. Last year 40 adults participated in the golf program <br /> and this year there are over 100 adults registered. Softball is <br /> winding down and he expects 25-30 teams in the fall leagues . <br /> Paul asked about demographics . He wanted to know if more people <br /> came from the Forest Lake, White Bear Lake or Centennial School <br /> Districts . Barry said 85-90 per cent of the participants are <br /> from Lino Lakes but did not know where the majority of the others <br /> came from. <br /> 2 <br />
