City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> May 6, 1996 <br /> George will contact Brian Bourassa and Ken Johnson to see which <br /> one would like to be on the committee and which one would be the <br /> alternate. <br /> CITY HALL PARK DESIGN PLANS UPDATE: <br /> Marty said he will be looking for people to help construct the <br /> playground equipment this fall . He showed the members where the <br /> age 2-12 play structure will be placed in the park. He said they <br /> will also be re-installing the swing that was taken down. The <br /> board approved $15, 000 for this park at the goal setting meeting. <br /> MOTION• <br /> Pam Taschuk made a motion to approve the order and purchase the <br /> playground equipment for City Hall Park. The motion was seconded <br /> by Joe Schmidt and approved unanimously. <br /> OTHER OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Country Lakes Park Update: Marty said the storm damage has been <br /> cleaned up and the park has been seeded. <br /> He said this park has really changed in looks . It looks so much <br /> bigger now. George said you can see into the park now. <br /> Marty said this would also be a good place to have a pre-meeting. <br /> Brandywood Boardwalk: George said when this park was master- <br /> planned the residents said they would help build the boardwalk. <br /> He asked if he should contact Jim in regards to this . Marty said <br /> he wanted to put the piers in and then would be ready for the <br /> construction. He reported he also has the sauna tubes . <br /> NEW BUSINESS• <br /> Water Quality Report - Lakes: Marty gave the members a report on <br /> the water quality of Reshanau Lake. Reshanau was one of the <br /> study lakes in the report prepared by Montgomery Watson for the <br /> Rice Creek Watershed District Board of Managers . <br /> He said it is interesting to note the trophic status of this lake <br /> (unsimilar to other surrounding lakes) . The questions of a <br /> '1 quality recreation experience in relationship to swimming is <br /> brought forth in this report . Marty wants the Park Board to <br /> think about this issue. <br /> 10 <br />
