City of Lino Lakes Park Board Meeting May 6, 1996 George will contact Brian Bourassa and Ken Johnson to see which one would like to be on the committee and which one would be the alternate. CITY HALL PARK DESIGN PLANS UPDATE: Marty said he will be looking for people to help construct the playground equipment this fall . He showed the members where the age 2-12 play structure will be placed in the park. He said they will also be re-installing the swing that was taken down. The board approved $15, 000 for this park at the goal setting meeting. MOTION• Pam Taschuk made a motion to approve the order and purchase the playground equipment for City Hall Park. The motion was seconded by Joe Schmidt and approved unanimously. OTHER OLD BUSINESS: Country Lakes Park Update: Marty said the storm damage has been cleaned up and the park has been seeded. He said this park has really changed in looks . It looks so much bigger now. George said you can see into the park now. Marty said this would also be a good place to have a pre-meeting. Brandywood Boardwalk: George said when this park was master- planned the residents said they would help build the boardwalk. He asked if he should contact Jim in regards to this . Marty said he wanted to put the piers in and then would be ready for the construction. He reported he also has the sauna tubes . NEW BUSINESS• Water Quality Report - Lakes: Marty gave the members a report on the water quality of Reshanau Lake. Reshanau was one of the study lakes in the report prepared by Montgomery Watson for the Rice Creek Watershed District Board of Managers . He said it is interesting to note the trophic status of this lake (unsimilar to other surrounding lakes) . The questions of a '1 quality recreation experience in relationship to swimming is brought forth in this report . Marty wants the Park Board to think about this issue. 10
