City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> April 25, 1996 <br /> Roll call was taken, members present were George Lindy, Betty <br /> Piper, Sharon Lane, Pam Taschuk, and Ken Johnson. Also present <br /> were Marty Asleson, Park, Recreation, and Forestry Coordinator, <br /> and Sandie wood, Recording Secretary. Not present were Joe <br /> Schmidt and Amy Donlin. <br /> Public Hearing, A-3 Athletic Complex DNR Outdoor Recreation Grant <br /> Chairman George Lindy opened the public hearing at 6 :20pm on <br /> Thursday, April 25, 1996 . <br /> Marty gave background information on the application and status <br /> of the grant . He explained that this was a grant for the A-3 <br /> Athletic Complex on Holly and County Road J. George said the <br /> grant had been submitted last year but it had not been approved. <br /> Marty received a call from Audry Mularie, DNR, saying the <br /> legislature did approve our 1995 grant application on April 24 in <br /> the amount of $50, 000 . 00 . This grant is a cost match grant and <br /> must be used before the end of 1997 . <br /> .� Ken asked what the money was to be used for. Marty responded <br /> land acquisition. Ken then asked if negotiations were still <br /> going on. Marty said we were going to have to figure out where <br /> the balance of the funding was going to come from. <br /> George said this should be a question on the survey. He said <br /> that is why the survey is so imperative. <br /> There was discussion on negotiating the purchase price for this <br /> piece of property. <br /> No residents were present to ask questions or make comments on <br /> this grant . <br /> Park Board Member Taschuk made a motion to close the hearing at <br /> 6 : 30pm. Park Board Member Lane seconded the motion. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> 1 <br />
