Dan is
communicating with Decision Resources on the timing of the
survey. Marty included two samples of recent surveys done by
Decision Resources . One was for the City of Fridley and the
other was Shoreview. Marty asked the board members to start
thinking about their survey questions, write them down and get
them to the Park and Recreation Department .
Marty read a few of the ideas he came up with when he started
thinking about the survey.
Park Board members had questions about the number of departments
that would be included in the survey. Mayor Landers said he was
not sure but he knew Solid Waste, Park and Recreation and maybe
Public works would be included. The members had concerns about
the length of the survey with the other departments participating
and if people would respond if there were too many questions .
Members also had questions on how the results were compiled, and
if they were done geographically. They questioned how the phone
survey would work, and the cost of doing the survey
After lengthy discussion on the workings of putting a survey
together George stated he thought the Park Board should meet with
Decision Resources because they were the ones that would be able
to answer these framework questions .
1
