City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> �., April 1, 1996 <br /> Trails Committee Update: Marty reported the trails committee <br /> will go to the council work-session on April 3 , and to the <br /> council meeting on April 8 for approval . <br /> Projects Update- <br /> Birchwood Acres/Park Grove Park - Marty informed the Park Board <br /> that a neighborhood meeting has been scheduled for April 11, 7pm <br /> at Fire Station 2 . Brian Flanagan will be present to look at the <br /> concept plans and budget and will discuss playground equipment <br /> and design. <br /> At the meeting Marty hopes to find out if the residents will be <br /> willing to get together to help raise the playground. He also <br /> informed members that the residents have been doing some <br /> fundraising. <br /> Betty Piper volunteered to be the liaison person for this park <br /> and will attend the April 11 meeting with Marty. <br /> n City Hall Park - Brian Flanagan has been working on a design for <br /> City Hall Park. Marty will bring it to the next Park Board <br /> meeting so members can see what is being looked at for this park. <br /> Marty said he is looking for residents to work on the planning of <br /> this park. <br /> Rice Lake Estates - Marty reminded the members that $2 , 500 had <br /> been approved for the master planning, of this park, at the last <br /> Park Board meeting. Jeff Schoenbauer has been working on the <br /> plans and wants to do a joint meeting. Marty said the residents <br /> should be informed of what is going on in this park. <br /> Marty reported that City Attorney, Bill Hawkins, looked at the <br /> joint agreement with Circle Pines and said it looks fine, but, we <br /> will have to do some finish work on the agreement. Marty will <br /> take the agreement to City Administrator, Randy Schumacher. <br /> Ken asked about the two lots in the area. Marty said legislation <br /> was passed last year and he thinks the lots meet the criteria for <br /> a fill exemption. He is was working with the Corp. of Engineers <br /> on this issue and will have to check to see the status . He said <br /> a new resident had moved in next door to the lots and they may be <br /> interested in purchasing the lot (s) . <br /> 2 <br />
