timothy and again, this year hay. There are no known endangered, threatened or
otherwise of special concern vegetative species on this site.
Major plant communities on this site can be described as upland, facultative
wetland, and wetland. For the most part the facultative wetland acid wetland
species are distributed around the perimeter of the site including the old Cedar
Lake bed to the east. This is for the entire site except for a small isolated wetland
area in the south and central part of the proposed facility.
For the most part, there will be no disturbance of the wetland areas on the
perimeter of this site, and possibly the pursuit of mitigation of the south-central
wetland area if permits would be allowed. If no permits were allowed, then this
area would have no vegetation removed either.
All portions of the present upland areas would have the existing
vegetation/crops removed for-site grading purposes. There would be no other
impacts on this site.
D. Water Resources:
According to the wetland delineation done by Arlig Environmental Inc.,the
wetlands are described by a numbered map. According to this map #1-1 through
1-9 PEMC with cattails and rushes surrounded by small wetland trees and reed
canary grass;#2-1 through#2-32 PEMC and PEMA with some cattails and rushes
surrounded by FACW trees and reed canary grass. Corn was near much of the
east edge of this wetland;#3-1 through 3-6 disturbed area with sparse Smartweed;
#4-lthrough#4-10 wetland edge in trees along side of the ditch and connects to
#2;#5-1 through $5-7 isolate4d small wetland north of the property;#6-1 through
#6-24 wetland on north end of site through green ash, willow, and red osier
dogwood, and connecting to wetland#4.;#6-24 through#6-50 continues
basically north from#6-24 to the ditch; stake#6-50 connects to the first or
northern most stake on the west edge of Cedar Lake;# 7 and#8 wetlands are
located in the middle of the corn field and form an L shaped area;Cedar Lake was
delineated with wire stake flags. Please see wetland map.
It should be noted that Cedar Lake was drawn down many years ago by
residents living in this area. Cedar LAke is now a cattail marsh with nice
restoration potential in the future.
The only possible disturbance area that would be considered on this site is
the L- shaped wetland in the middle of the site. We may wish to seek mitigation
on this site.
Drainage of this site would be facilitated in a fashion as to not disturb the
present drainage patterns. Since much of this area will remain green space, there is
a minimal if any increase in surface water runoff at this site.
Since we will be maintaining this area for cultured grasses on the athletic
fields we will be taking all precautions to ensure no impacts occur. We will
prescribe our nutrient requirements based on soil tests and use slow release
products. Buffer areas will be maintained on the fringes of the wetland as well
