City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> March 4, 1996 <br /> other things in the spring. He said staff is currently doing <br /> some tree trimming. <br /> Country Lakes Park - Marty explained that there is approximately <br /> $2, 000 left in the budget to finish Country Lakes Park. Staff <br /> will be seeding this spring. They will also move some trails . <br /> He has asked Kate Drewry to come to the park and look at the <br /> wetland areas . <br /> Recreation Update: Barry told the members the warminghouses are <br /> closed. He said it was about a 55 day season which is about 15 <br /> days shorter than the last two years . He hopes to have a report <br /> completed for the board next month. The weather was a factor in <br /> these numbers . He received good comments on Lino and City Hall <br /> Park. <br /> The spring brochure has been sent to the residents and the <br /> members should be receiving theirs soon if they have not already <br /> gotten one. The next brochure will be going out in June. Marty <br /> said they will have to budget more money for the brochure next <br /> year because they are running out of room to publish programs and <br /> other issues that should be included in the brochure. <br /> Barry went on to say that softball is about 2/3 full . He hopes <br /> to have the program completely full by the second or third week <br /> of March. Softball starts the first week of May. <br /> Soccer is also filling up. He hopes to have 16 teams this year. <br /> Barry asked members to call him, at the office, if they had any <br /> questions or suggestions . <br /> Marty added the Earthday celebration is scheduled for April 20 at <br /> the Wargo Nature Center. Kim Sullivan and Jackie Constant are <br /> co-chairs this year. <br /> One Arbor Day Celebration is at Lino Elementary School on May 31 . <br /> ADA Update: Marty said the minutes from the last ADA meeting are <br /> included in the members packets . The next meeting will be in <br /> Blaine He will continue to bring information to the park board. <br /> He said some of people, at the meeting, wanted this issue defined <br /> more so they can take it to their government agencies to inform <br /> 4 <br />
