City of Lino Lakes Park Board Meeting r..� March 4, 1996 them what the exact cost for this program will be. Janet Bona is working on narrowing down what the cost will be. He has been talking to some of the North Metro people about the possibility of doing joint programming with the Lino Lakes Park and Recreation Department . They will be discussing this at their next meeting. Marty 'said he and Barry attended a Centerville Park Board meeting and they may also be interested in contracting with Lino Lakes to do their recreation programming. George asked if it would not be more cost effective to do joint scheduling. Barry said this may be a way to do some of the things we have wanted to do but did not have the time. Barry thought there would be a lot of advantages to doing this . George thought the way the communities are geographically intertwined it makes sense to do this . It was suggested that Hugo be brought into this joint effort too. Marty said he has talked to Hugo about this but they do not have a park board yet, but will look at this when they do. Marty said he brought this to the board to see how the members feel about doing joint efforts with surrounding communities . He will put this issue on the agenda each month to keep the park board informed. Friends of the Park Update: It was reported that the Friends golf tournament is going ahead very well . Marty said Gary Uhde donated money to the Friends . This will be used to pay for the brochure . Martha Walmsley called Marty last week to let him know they had received a $1, 000 check from the S . Reshanau Estates Home Owners Association for the trail stub. Aqua Lane Trail: Marty was going to take this off the agenda because the Engineering Department is working with Anoka County on this and he is not sure of the status of this now. He will bring it back to the park board when he has more information. 5
