terviffe 1880 Main Street • Centendffe,Mac 55038
Esta6ljshed 1857 (612)429-3232 • FaX(612)429-8629
February 22, 1996
To Whom It May Concern:
RE: LCMR GRANT APPLICATION
CLEAR WATER CREEK GREENWAY PROJECT
This letter is written to express Centerville's interest for the Clearwater Creek Greenway
Project. d
It is my understanding that this greenway is to provide a connection of the regional trail
from Hugo to the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park. It would seem reasonable
that the city of Centerville has some interest in the project because Clearwater Creek runs
directly through the city.
Centerville has recently completed a flood plain reduction project on Clearwater Creek.
Therefore this greenway will also serve as a form of stormwater management.
The concept of the greenway is well receptive by the city of Centerville but would like to
be kept in formed and be a part of the continued planning of the project.
We believe that with cooperative efforts from three cities and the watershed district that it
will receive a favorable review.
Sincerely,
l-
Tom Wilharber
Mayor
