City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> August 4, 1997 <br /> to Sunrise and look the site over. Barry asked if the board <br /> would like to have a pre-park meeting at Sunrise Park in <br /> September. <br /> Middle School Joint Use Agreement: Barry said the city is <br /> negotiating for joint use of the facilities . Lino Lakes will be <br /> doing some maintenance in exchange for the first right to use the <br /> indoor facilities and ballfields. There is a meeting scheduled <br /> for August 6, to hopefully finalize this agreement . <br /> Wenzel Farm Bridge: Kim asked about the status of the Wenzel <br /> Farm Bridge. Mike responded that Marty is working on this <br /> project and the association has a few items they would like to <br /> see addressed before giving the easement . They are signing of <br /> trails, a split rail fence at the south end of trail by the <br /> southern most townhome, street maintenance because of the <br /> increase traffic to maintain the trails, and insurance. Marty <br /> said the insurance issue is already taken care of . <br /> Birchwood Acres: Paul said we have had almost a full season of <br /> ^� usage on ballfields . He asked if there had been any complaints <br /> from the residents in this park about their field. Barry said he <br /> is usually the first to hear, but, he has not heard any <br /> complaints but has had a lot of thanks from the residents . Paul <br /> wanted to know if it was getting the projected usage. Barry did <br /> not know. Joe said he has seen a lot of foot and bike traffic. <br /> Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Trail Grant: The City <br /> of Lino Lakes received a letter stating the trail grant, Elm <br /> Street Regional Park Connection, that was submitted to the <br /> Minnesota Department of Natural Resources was approved. This <br /> grant was for $44, 728 . This will be reimbursed to the city on a <br /> matching basis. The grant has to be used by April 15, 2000 . <br /> Referendum Meeting: Paul asked about a referendum meeting. <br /> Barry said George asked him to see if members were available to <br /> meet on August 19 after 5 :30pm. Sharon was the only person that <br /> would be able to attend. The members asked if Barry would try to <br /> have the meeting on August 12, at the Park Building around <br /> 5 :30pm. He will talk to Jeff and Sandie will confirm with the <br /> members . <br /> 1997 Goal Setting Meeting: It was decided that the goals meeting <br /> date would be set at the September Park Board meeting. <br /> 8 <br />
