City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> August 4, 1997 <br /> receive a cost estimate from Toro for $4, 528 . 00 . This quote <br /> includes items that may or not be needed but can be returned at <br /> the end of the job. Barry explained he will not be using the <br /> softball or soccer fields in this park so the job can be <br /> completed before Sandburr Days the first weekend of September. <br /> Barry thanked the Park Board for allowing them to do this <br /> project . <br /> Paul asked about the sprinklers not being used in Sunrise earlier <br /> this summer. Mike said the department was short on staff this <br /> spring and the sprinklers at Sunrise Park and Rice Lake <br /> Elementary needed repair. They are now working. <br /> City Hall Park Update: Mike said he hopes the kids cubes will be <br /> done by the end of the week. The footings have been done for <br /> these cubes . The kids timbers will be put in place and <br /> backf it led. <br /> Lino Park: Barry said Matt Noren will be donating 4 pieces of <br /> equipment and completing his Eagle Scout project in Lino Park. <br /> Mike reviewed the approved plans from the September, 1996 Park <br /> Board meeting and measured the fall zones.. He feels the plans <br /> need to be changed because the project will go all the way to the <br /> building and there are underground electrical wires there. Mike <br /> has talked to Brian from Flannagans Sales about the plan change <br /> and Brian feels the new plan will work out . The equipment <br /> arrived on August 4 and Mike will meet with Matt on August 5 . In <br /> addition Mike said the existing timbers will be used in the new <br /> layout . <br /> Joe asked if the board needed to approve this change. Mike said <br /> he talked to Marty and he thought it would be fine. Joe said he <br /> thought if the equipment company was consulted and they are ok <br /> with the change, no action was needed. <br /> Paul said to congratulate Matt on his hard work. <br /> Shenandoah Park: Barry said he and Mike inspected this park and <br /> the backstop is not used. He said it is a new backstop and would <br /> like to remove it and place it in a more useable area. <br /> ,''N Joe asked the status of the Little League project in Sunrise <br /> Park. Barry said he has not heard from Pat Mahr. Paul said July <br /> is a busy month for Little League but hopefully Barry will be <br /> contacted in August.
