City of Lino Lakes Park Board Meeting November 4, 1996 GOAL SETTING MEETING: George asked the members to look at the October 16 meeting minutes, Page 5, to see what had been proposed for 1997 . This will leave a cushion of approximately $11, 000 . 00 in the dedicated park fund. In addition $46, 000 has been designated for Pheasant Hills Preserve and $23 , 500 for Behms Century Farm. Sharon asked if the City Council has to approve the goals . George said after they are approved by the Park Board he will do a letter and meet with them for their approval . Marty said the board should look at the 3-5 year perspective and include them in their goals . MOTION• Joe Schmidt made a motion to approve the proposed 1997 Park Board Goals . Sharon Lane seconded the motion and it was approved unanimously. OTHER OLD BUSINESS: n Amy had a questions regarding the developers dedication for Trappers Crossing. While looking at past park board information she noticed in May, 1994 the Park Board passed a motion, by Ken Johnson, to collect $613/lot, however, the developers agreement reads $530/lot . She wanted to know why there was a discrepancy in these two figures . Marty said he checked with Steve Heth from SEH about this issue. Steve said $14, 800 has been collected so far and we will get the additional $76, 680, as development continues, plus a rock and graded trail . Amy also noted in the minutes that the trail is supposed to be signed at both ends . Marty said this will be done when the developments are completed. The one between the development and Birch Park is being looked at by the city Engineering Department for slopes and grade. The developer has not reacted to this yet and until he does there will not be any more building permits issued. NEW BUSINESS • There was no new business .
