CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> PARK BOARD MEETING <br /> DECEMBER 2, 1996 <br /> The December 2, 1996, City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was <br /> called to order at 6 : 34pm, by Chair, George Lindy. <br /> Roll call was taken, members present were Paul Montain, Pam <br /> Taschuk, George Lindy, Joe Schmidt, Amy Donlin, and Betty Piper. <br /> Sharon Lane was absent . Others present were Marty Asleson, Park, <br /> Recreation, and Forestry Coordinator and Sandie Wood, Recording <br /> Secretary. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM NOVEMBER 4, 1996 : <br /> Minutes deferred because they were not done. <br /> OPEN MIKE⢠<br /> There was no one present for open mike. <br /> PROPOSE TIME LIMIT DISCUSSION: <br /> In response to the boards discussion at the November 4, 1996 Park <br /> Board meeting, George developed some guidelines which if approved <br /> by the board will provide equitable time consideration for all <br /> items on the agenda and expedite the meetings . The proposal is <br /> '~ as follows : <br /> At the discretion of the chair of the Park Board, discussions <br /> regarding an agenda item may be limited to a set amount of time. <br /> 1 . The set time may be equally divided between opponents and <br /> proponents of an issue. <br /> 2 . Discussion may be limited to the presentation of new <br /> information regarding an issue. <br /> 3 . The time allotment for board discussion of an issue may be <br /> limited. <br /> 4 . Presenters of information may be limited to a single <br /> presentation concerning an issue . <br /> At the conclusion of the allotted discussion time: <br /> 1 . The board may vote on an issue and thus resolve it . <br /> 2 . The board may table the discussion until the end of that <br /> same meeting--if time permits later discussion. <br /> 3 . The board may table the discussion until the next meeting. <br /> 1 <br />
