He said the committee discussed the concept <br /> of trying to connect the north and south side of the city, the <br /> bottle neck problem at the creek between Rice Lake and Baldwin <br /> Lake, the provisions necessary to accommodate pedestrian traffic <br /> over 35W, the proposed city center trail, north/south/east/west <br /> trail connections, trying to utilize the county park that sits in <br /> the middle of the city, the Washington County Trail project <br /> running north and south of 61 and possibly connecting the <br /> Clearwater Creek trail system to it, and the Marshan Trail issue. <br /> n <br /> He asked Marty if Brian Bourossa had been contacted to be on the <br /> committee because another member had health problems and had to <br /> resign. Marty said yes he had, and Brian will sit on the <br /> committee . <br /> Marshan Trail Re-alignment: Northwest Associated Consultants <br /> have been working with the city of Lino Lakes on the revisions <br /> for the City Comprehensive Plan. One of the issues that needs to <br /> be resolved is trail alignment in reference to pedestrian and <br /> bicycle transportation to the City Center development at 35W and <br /> Lake Drive. <br /> Marty continued by saying the portion of the trail that is in <br /> question is the section that would extend north from the Shores <br /> of Marshan Development around Marshan Lake. Please refer to <br /> figure 6 . 3 Park and Trail System Plan, Trail Section #18 . <br /> Trail Section 18 is intended to be located within a linear trail <br /> corridor that begins at Aqua lane and runs north-northeast <br /> following the shoreline of Marshan Lake, the edge of the <br /> wetlands, and on the northern most segment, directly adjacent to <br /> or within the regional park.
