In response to our discussion regarding time management
at our November 4, 1996 Park Board meeting, I have developed
some .- guidelines which if approved by the Park Board will
provide equitable time consideration for all items on our
agenda and expedite our meetings.
At the discretion of the chair of the Park Board,
discussions regarding an agenda item may be limited to a
set amount of time.
1. The set time may be equally divided between
• opponents and proponents of an issue.
2. Discussion may be limited to the presentation of
new information regarding an issue.
3. The time allotment for Board discussion of an issue
may be limited.
4. Presenters of information may be limited to a single
presentation concerning an issue.
At the conclusion of the allotted discussion time:
1. the Board may vote on an issue and thus resolve it.
2. the Board may table the discussion until the end
of that same meeting- if time permits later
discussion.
3. the Board may table the discussion until the next
meeting.
4. the Board may table the discussion and request more
information.
