Twenty-nine percent went to Minneapolis, while twenty-two percent drove to Saint Paul.
Eight percent each went to Shoreview and Roseville. Nineteen percent went to Northtown. In fact,thirty-one percent"strongly
favored"them. There was, however,no consensus about the ideal location.
Organized Collection System:
By a fifty-four percent to thirty-six percent judgment, residents supported the City of Lino Lakes
adopting an organized collection system. However, intense opposition outnumbered intense
support by almost two-to-one. Even so,majority support for an organized collection system has
been a rare occurrence among Metropolitan Area suburbs and suggested that Lino Lakes may be
one of the few communities with a working majority in its favor.
Recycling and Yard Waste Disposal Services:
Ninety-seven percent of the sample reported recycling household wastes. In fact, seventy-eight
trDRL
