CITY GOAL#3 TO ADDRESS THE CITY INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS <br /> Working in conjunction with other departments on the alternative transportation issue, <br /> i.e. trails can help reduce the need to use roads and our dependency on the automobile. <br /> We have also sought to form cooperative relations with surrounding communities, the <br /> county, and the school districts to use existing facilities, and open-spaces. The notion of <br /> a partnership with the North Metro Recreation group can positively effect our <br /> accessibility to facility use in the quad city area. We shall continue to actively seek <br /> funding for infrastructure needs either alone or in partnership with other public agencies. <br /> We shall also continue to work with our non-profit,the Friends of the Parks on <br /> addressing parks and recreation needs thereby helping to relieve the tax burden. <br />
