^ GOAL#4 TO ENHANCE THE CIT'S STRENGTH AND FINANCIAL <br /> SOLVENCY <br /> Although the mission of Parks and Recreation is to provide programs in as cost effective <br /> manner as possible for social inclusion reasons, we do have a number of programs that <br /> are very profitable. These profits can help to offset the operation costs, or facility <br /> enhancement needs. We continue to look at the prospects of profit generating facilities <br /> such as an outdoor athletic complex, developer/city partnership for a golf coarse, and <br /> work with economic development on a community center(public, or public/private). <br /> We shall continue to seek grants for trails, park facilities, and recreation programs. <br /> Partnerships with surrounding cities,the county, school districts will help to reduce costs <br /> and the overall tax impact to Lino Lakes residents. <br />
