City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> n May 4, 1998 <br /> Pat stated that replacement of park equipment is a high priority. <br /> This was a great opportunity that the Park Board does not often <br /> get. <br /> Paul agreed that Shenandoah Park and Birch Park were their top <br /> priorities . <br /> Chair Lindy noted that the money for the equipment did not come <br /> from dedicated funds . It was received from another source. <br /> Pam indicated that the Park Board should use the funds for <br /> replacement equipment since it would be difficult to justify <br /> spending the money on new parks if they do not maintain the older <br /> parks . <br /> Chair Lindy addressed the issue of park usage, noting that Lino <br /> Park is a heavily used park that was in need of some equipment . <br /> Pam noted that Lino Park does have programming for athletics . <br /> Sharon also noted that Lino Park is a long distance from any <br /> other park. <br /> Chair Lindy stated that the Park Board would like to use the <br /> funds for Shenandoah Park, Birch Park, and Lino Park. <br /> Paul indicated that Arena Park would be next on the list. The <br /> residents should be made aware of that. <br /> Rick asked that the Park Board put a dollar figure on each park. <br /> He recommended allocating approximately $27, 600 for equipment in <br /> a typical neighborhood park and $30, 000 for equipment in a <br /> programmed park. <br /> Paul Montain made a motion, seconded by Pam Taschuk, to allot <br /> $34, 700 to replace equipment at Shenandoah Park; $36, 281 to <br /> replace equipment at Birch Park; $37, 500 to replace equipment at <br /> Lino Park.
