OF <br /> LIN()AK6 <br /> February 23, 1998 <br /> TO: Park Board Members <br /> FROM: Rick DeGardner <br /> SUBJECT: Park Naming Ordinance <br /> NEW PARKS <br /> The Park Board will officially name a park upon final plat <br /> approval when a park area is shown on the final plat. <br /> EXISTING PARKS <br /> All existing parks will be officially named as to what they have <br /> been regularly referred to: <br /> Arena Acres Pheasant Hills <br /> Behms Quail Ridge <br /> Birch Rice Lake Estates <br /> Birchwood Acres Shenandoah <br /> Brandywood South Reshanau Lake Estates <br /> City Hall Sunrise <br /> Clearwater Creek Sunset Oaks <br /> Country Lakes Wenzel Farms <br /> LaMotte Woods of Baldwin Lake <br /> Lino Woolans Park <br /> Marshan <br /> If a group of individuals are interested in renaming their <br /> neighborhood park the following procedure will be required: <br /> 1 . Obtain at least 50 percent of signatures from at least one <br /> adult homeowner from each residence within the designated <br /> service area as determined by the Parks and Recreation <br /> Director (generally 1-i� mile radius) . <br /> 2 . The suggested new name and the rationale for changing must <br /> appear on the petition. The petition will be submitted to the <br /> Park Board for consideration. <br /> 3 .
