Fiberglass wrap on poles <br /> peeling, chains rusting. <br /> Merry-Go-Round: <br /> Not level (footing shifted) Compacted surfacing material . <br /> As you can see there are numerous safety/liability concerns <br /> associated with this playground. A number of these issues can <br /> be corrected through retrofitting and new surfacing and border <br /> material . I however question whether we wish to assume the <br /> liability associated with retrofitting or the expense of new <br /> surfacing material and border for a playground that is 17+ years <br /> of age. <br /> I recommend removal of this playground as soon as possible with <br /> the intent of replacing it next spring.
