COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 12, 1998 <br /> This project included the construction of street, watermain and sanitary sewer serving the 8-lot <br /> single-family home subdivision. the final amounts are summarized as follows: <br /> Original contract amount $108,947.71 <br /> Change Order No. 1 3,756.35 <br /> Final contract amount $112.704.06 <br /> Council Member Bergeson moved to adopt Resolution No. 98 - 05, as presented. Council <br /> Member Dahl seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Resolution No. 98 - 05 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br /> CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br /> Consideration of Accepting a Warranty Deed from Gor-em,LLC. for Outlots D and E, <br /> Clearwater Creek-Ms. Anderson presented a copy of a warranty deed to Council from Gor- <br /> em, LLC. deeding Outlots D and E, Clearwater Creek, to the City. She explained that a well <br /> house is currently located on Outlot D, and a sanitary sewer lift station on Outlot E. Title to <br /> these properties should reside with the City so that it can maintain both facilities. <br /> Council Member Lyden moved to approve the warranty deed from Gor-em, LLC., as presented. <br /> Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Consideration of Application for Renewal of Gambling License, Circle-Lex VFW Post <br /> #6583 - Ms. Anderson explained that the Circle-Lex VFW Post#6583 was one of the first non- <br /> profit organizations to apply for a gambling license when the City implemented the Lawful <br /> Gambling Ordinance. Post#6583 has held a license continually since that time. This request is <br /> to renew the gambling license that will expire on April 30, 1998. <br /> Ms. Anderson continued that the VFW has consistently provided the information required to <br /> determine that it is in compliance with the City Code. It donates $300 per month to the City <br /> Dedicated Park Fund, which is used to replace and add new equipment. The VFW has been a <br /> good neighbor, and has provided support to other areas of the community such as schools within <br /> the Centennial and Forest Lake school districts. The Post has also helped local citizens who have <br /> experienced financial difficulties. Ms. Anderson recommended approval of the application for <br /> renewal of a gambling license for the Circle-Lex VFW Post#6583. <br /> Council Member Dahl moved to approve the application for renewal of a gambling license for <br /> Circle-Lex VFW Post#6583, as presented. Council Member Lyden seconded the motion. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Consideration of Addendum to Recording Secretarial Service Agreement- Ms. Anderson <br /> provided the following background for this item: The City contracted with Timesaver Off Site <br /> Secretarial, Inc. in 1994 to record and transcribe minutes for the Planning and Zoning Board. <br /> 10 <br />
