COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 12, 1998 <br /> The purpose for using an off-site service was to free time for the Planning Coordinator to deal <br /> with landowner requests and work with consultants developing the Comprehensive Land Use <br /> Plan for the City. Beginning in January, 1997, TimeSaver began providing minute transcription <br /> service for the City Council and the Charter Commission, and beginning this month for the Parks <br /> and Recreation Board. <br /> Ms. Anderson expressed her satisfaction with the quality of the Council minutes, and the Charter <br /> Commission has also expressed the same sentiment. Mary Kay Wyland of the Planning <br /> Department is also pleased with the quality of the Planning and Zoning Board minutes. Besides <br /> providing quality service,minutes are completed in a timely manner so that they can be approved <br /> at the next regular meeting of the Council, Board or Commission. <br /> Presented for Council's consideration was an addendum to the Recording Secretarial Service <br /> Agreement, which includes service for the City Council, Planning and Zoning Board, Parks and <br /> Recreation Board, and the Charter Commission extending the contract period to December 31, <br /> 1998. The fees remain the same as for 1997. City Attorney Hawkins has reviewed the <br /> Addendum and advised Ms. Anderson that it is in order and can be adopted as presented. <br /> Council Member Bergeson moved to approve the Addendum to the Recording Secretarial <br /> Service Agreement, as presented. Council member Dahl seconded the motion. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS -None. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Review of City Calendar- Mayor Sullivan reminded the group that on January 13, 1998 there <br /> will be a special primary election for the seat of State Representative, with the general election <br /> on January 27. She added that the next Planning and Zoning Board meeting is scheduled for <br /> Wednesday, January 14, at 6:30 p.m.; the next Council work session, Wednesday, January 21; <br /> next Council meeting, Monday, January 26. <br /> Council Member Lyden congratulated Council Members Bergeson and Dahl, as well as Mayor <br /> Sullivan, on their recent election, adding that he considers it a privilege and honor to serve the <br /> people of Lino Lakes and that he looks forward to the next two years. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> Council Member Bergeson moved to adjourn at 7:38 p.m. Council Member Dahl seconded the <br /> motion.
