City of Lino Lakes Park Board Goal Setting Meeting November 25, 1997 5 . The playground at Shenandoah needs to be removed or replaced because it is a safety hazard. Not done 6 . Rice Lake Estates has $46, 000 in dedicated park funds . In addition the sale of 2 lots (approximately $30, 000) will go into their fund. Rick is waiting to hear from the Corp of Engineers and then he will meet with Dave Phipps on this park. 7 . George was wondering if Country Lakes Park had been re- master planned. Yes - Done After George reviewed the above items he asked each member to add to the list . Betty had nothing to add. 8 . Pam wanted to know if Marshan Park was going to be master planned. A land dedication was given for this park, so they would have to find the money to do this. 9 . Joe wanted to know if Lamotte Park could be sold if it was '�` not going to be used. Rick will research to see if "park land" can be sold. 10 . Joe thought Country Lakes Park should have more amenities . He feels it would be used more if it had more things in it . 11 . Paul had nothing to add that would require money. He did ask if it was possible to tie Centerville' s and Lino' s amenities together. He would also like to tie trails together. The Town Center was discussed. Members wanted to know how the Park Board could become more involved with this project . Barry told the members he has been going to the YMCA meetings and there has been talk about putting kids cubes on the property. Betty thought a bandshell and fireplace had also been talked about . Rick will meet with YMCA on December 4 . The phone market study will be conducted within the next 2 weeks and the results will be available mid-January. The other project that needs to be done is the Wenzel Farm bridge ($10, 500 dedicated for 1997 projects) . This project has not been completed yet . 2
