0 � <br /> Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department <br /> .-� 7204 Lake Drive <br /> C I T Y`` O F Lino Lakes, MN 55014 <br /> LINI �� (651) 780-1885 Fax (651) 784-7227 <br /> November 30, 1998 <br /> TO: Park Board Members <br /> FROM: Mike Hoffinan, Parks Lead Worker <br /> SUBJECT: November Maintenance Update <br /> November has found us putting our athletic fields and summer maintenance equipment to bed for <br /> the winter and waking up our hockey and pleasure rinks in preparation for the upcoming skating <br /> season. <br /> Maintenance highlights for November included: <br /> • Cleanup, servicing, and storage of summer maintenance equipment (mowers,ballfield <br /> groomer, fertilizer spreader, etc.). _ <br /> • Preparation of hockey and pleasure rinks for flooding (berming pleasure rinks, eliminating <br /> bird baths, repairing gates and boards). <br /> • Removal and storage of soccer nets and goals, volleyball nets, and tennis nets. <br /> • Oak wilt control work at Sunrise and Woods of Baldwin Parks. <br /> • Diseased tree removal and storm damage cleanup at Sunrise Park. <br /> • Dormant seeding around new Lino Park playground and players benches. <br /> • Tree spading of over 100 donated shade and evergreen trees. (to be used to landscape new <br /> city hall and city park areas.) <br /> • Ordered nursery stock for spring park plantings. <br /> • Completion of viewing deck at Pheasant Hills Park(contractor installed). <br /> • Fence installed at new Shenandoah Trail segment(contractor installed). <br /> As we move into December we will begin converting our summer mowing equipment into <br /> winter snow removal equipment. Flooding of rinks will begin if and when winter temperatures <br /> finally arrive. And finally, the Rice Lake Estates playground should be installed (beginning <br /> December lst we've been told).
