City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> November 2, 1998 <br /> r <br /> installer sometime this fall . Rick stated that Shenandoah Park <br /> playground equipment has been completed and a 1/2 court <br /> basketball court was installed at Pheasant Hills Park. <br /> Rick noted a special thank you to Marco Perzichilli for donating <br /> his time and energy for the City Hall Park sign project . <br /> Jeff added that equipment at Birch Park has been vandalized. <br /> Rick stated the Department is aware of the vandalism and is <br /> looking at different options to take care of it . They do not <br /> know who is responsible for the vandalism. <br /> OLD BUSINESS• <br /> Chair Lindy asked if there is a safety issue regarding the <br /> placement of a rink at Rice Lake Elementary on the holding pond. <br /> Rick stated that staff has met with the Principal of the school . <br /> It has been determined that the best site for the rink is in the <br /> parking lot of County Lakes Estates Park. <br /> Chair Lindy indicated that is not an appropriate site if users <br /> are afraid to cross West Shadow Lake Road. Barry stated that <br /> crossing the street has not been a problem in the past for users . <br /> Chair Lindy noted he wants the rink placed where it is useable to <br /> the school . <br /> NEW BUSINESS• <br /> Rick asked if the Board is in agreement to have a goal setting <br /> meeting at the December, 1998 , Park Board meeting. <br /> Chair Lindy stated because it does not appear the Board has any <br /> major issues before them it would be appropriate to have the goal <br /> setting meeting at that time . <br /> Rick suggested the regular Park Board meeting be held and then go <br /> into the goal setting meeting. <br /> Sharon asked if any of the Board members could attend the Town <br /> Center meeting for her on Tuesday, November 10, 1998 . <br /> Pat stated he would like to encourage responsible pet ownership <br /> in the City' s parks . If there is an ordinance in place there <br /> should be reminders in the parks regarding this issue . <br /> n <br /> 4 <br />
