Council Member Lyden introduced the following <br /> resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION 98 -111 <br /> A RESOLUTION ADOPTING INTO THE CITY OF LINO LAKES PERSONNEL <br /> POLICY HANDBOOK,A POLICY REGARDING SEVERE WEATHER. <br /> WHEREAS, From time to time, severe weather threatens the metropolitan area, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Severe weather in the form of tornadoes, ice or snow storms or related <br /> atmospheric conditions create situations where employees can not <br /> make it in to work, or would like to leave work early, and <br /> WHEREAS, Due to the nature of work expected from the Police Department and <br /> Public Works Department, city offices should be kept open during <br /> r� regular working hours, and <br /> WHEREAS, Employees covered by this policy be allowed to use their choice of <br /> vacation, sick leave or time-off without pay to avoid hazardous <br /> weather conditions. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lino <br /> Lakes incorporates into the Personnel Policy Handbook the attached Severe Weather <br /> Policy for certain employee groups. <br /> Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 13th Day of Jul , 1 8. <br /> Kim Sull' an, ayor <br /> Marilyn G.
