City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> June 1, 1998 <br /> The June 1, 1998 City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was called <br /> to order at 6: 37pm, by Joe Schmidt, Acting Chair in Chair George <br /> Lindy' s absence. <br /> Roll call was taken, members present were Jeff Reinert, Pam <br /> Taschuk, Sharon Lane, Pat Huelman, Joe Schmidt, and Paul Montain. <br /> Also present were Rick DeGardner, Parks and Recreation Director, <br /> and Sandie Wood, Office Manager. <br /> APPROVAL OF May 4 , 1998 MINUTES: <br /> Sharon asked that the spelling be corrected for Park Board Member <br /> Jeff Reinert and Park Board Member Huelman. She also stated that <br /> at the bottom of page 1, Recommendation #2, should read "The Park <br /> Board to discuss . . . ". <br /> Sharon Lane made a motion, seconded by Paul Montain, to approve <br /> the amended May 4, 1998 minutes . The minutes were approved. <br /> SETTING THE AGENDA: <br /> The Agenda was passed as presented. <br /> OPEN MIKE • <br /> No one was present for open mike. <br /> MAYOR KIM SULLIVAN - WELCOME NEW MEMBERS AND DISCUSSION: <br /> Mayor Sullivan stated that she highly supported the improved <br /> communication between all Boards within the City. She thanked <br /> Rick DeGardner, Parks and Recreation Director, for the improved <br /> level of communication between the Parks and Recreation <br /> Department and the City Council . She noted that because of a <br /> memo received from Rick, the City was able to obtain additional <br /> playground equipment . This resulted in many satisfied citizens <br /> throughout the City of Lino Lakes . <br /> Mayor Sullivan welcomed new members Jeff Reinert and Pat Huelman <br /> to the Parks Board. She also expressed appreciation for the <br /> reappointment of Sharon Lane to the Parks Board. <br /> Mayor Sullivan briefly discussed the goals for the City Council <br /> in 1998 . The main goals included communication, fiscal <br /> responsibility, consistency with policy application, and City <br /> processes . <br /> Mayor Sullivan stated that on June 25, 1998, there will be a <br /> meeting regarding the review of policy relating to the <br /> Comprehensive Plan. She urged the Park Board to discuss this <br /> issue further after the meeting. She indicated the policy and <br /> 1 <br />
