Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department
7204 Lake Drive
C I T . p Lino Lakes, MN 55014
LLN KE (612) 780-1885 Fax (612) 784-7227
June 25, 1998
TO: Park Board Members
FROM: Rick DeGardner, Parks and Recreation Director
SUBJECT: Review Development Plan of Rice Lake Estates Park
The trail leading to Baldwin Park will be constructed this August. The estimated cost of
completion for this trail is $17,000.
There is currently $42,700 in the Park Dedication Fund designated for this park. I am also in the
process of selling the two lots on Sandhill Drive. I estimate to obtain approximately $20,000 for
this property. I would recommend that any revenues generated from the sale of these two lots be
earmarked for Rice Lake Estates Park.
On June 8, I sent out the attached memo to area residents. Also attached is a summary of the
thirty responses. With the construction of the trail, there will be approximately $25,700
remaining in the Park Dedication Fund. I would like to proceed with further development of this
park this year. This neighborhood has been patiently waiting for quite a few years, and I would
prefer to not delay further development of this park another year. The estimated cost for clearing
the site will be approximately $5,000.
Att:
sw/parkboard/Review Development Plan of Rice Lake Estates Park doc
1
